It's tough for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the peak baggers, are what's still available for a squad that has achieved everything.

It needed until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batsmen to maintain a record if not afforded the possibility.

Many contend the case for championship match pressure. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was much more difficult to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this knock followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've observed me in training, it's been a disappointing period because I feel like my form was missing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive instincts activate and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in succeeding famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's spark.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the confidence to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we believe we can achieve it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this World Cup want to hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this triumph succeeding win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a significant event.

However although she afterwards confessed those injuries have delayed consideration of ending her career, this World Cup is likely to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is yet to win a world championship as skipper.
